Civitas Research Fellow Michael Toth's work was cited in a Supreme Court brief filed by the AGs of a seven-state coalition led by West Virginia. The multi-state brief was submitted in Chevron v. Plaquemines Parish, a critical case on U.S. energy security, which Toth has covered in the Wall Street Journal and Outlook. As the state AGs write citing the Civitas scholar's work, the case before the Supreme Court shows "how national interests can quickly fall by the wayside when politics, local fiscal needs, and flish defendants come together."
